  I must admit my gut reaction (simplistic over reaction no doubt,) would be to burn more of them, then wait for the backlash and then burn even more of them, rise and repeat untill they cant cope with the elevated stress levels anymore or just find themselves looking increasingly ridiculous and give up the ranting and overreacting.

  Yes i know it wouldnt work as many innocent bystanders would be beheaded, ..but This i do know, giving in, tippy toeing around to avoid offense and being all PC just to prevent the overreactions just appears to be rewarding bad behaviour.

  Can't you smell the CONDITIONAL love being offered to you by your JW familly? That's the usual pattern sadly. Our way or the highway...

  The book you are studying should be retitled: "What do we say the bible really teaches?" It's all a matter of interpretation after all, and given the Bible Students / JWs history of getting their interpretations flat wrong I wouldn't stake your life (or a big chunk of it) on them being right even now.

  You have come to the RIGHT place if you want an honest appraisal of the religion by people who have or are JWs. personally I was born in and have several decades experience, others here are / where bethelites, elders, pioneers etc so can offer real perspective.

  Enjoy the board and its information.

  I do have the feeling though that nothing anyone says will have any effect, ... excuses to follow this line of reasoning: My Lord speaks to me thus, thus so I speak.

  Approaching a current affair

  soooooooooo pissed about my situation i've decided to tell the world how i feel no matter what the outcome..too many issues in my head and need to clear it as it's ddriving me nuts to stand idle and watch the borg destroy countless other lives as they completely and utterley destroyed mine.

  am i doing the right thing here...you know the outcome and destruction it will bring on me and my family so please advise guys need your help and support.....sooooooooo pissssssssed...they killed the love of my life my mum with their f......d up conceptions and ideologies and other bulshit, my own jw's sibblings took me to court over my mums estate and not wanting to look after her as she suffered from (parkinson's desease) just so they could spend time in the ministry and destroyed and broke mums heart in the process as i the only male a disgrace being italian left to look after both my parents with my family for 3 and half years.

  i took the matter to the elders as my sibblings just kept screwing with mums head that i didn't love her and should be in a home not at home where she wanted and pleaded with me to keep her there almost every day because she knew their egotistical ways but they told me that because i wasnt active they could do nothing about the situation it was my problem...long story guys too long and too painful they tortured mum till the point of death and now doing it with dad and i cant do much about it as they have power of attorney it's killing me not to speak up.

  my daughters were shoved to the side of the road by a cop who didn't bother to check over his shoulder before moving into the right lane they were driving on.

  they slammed on the breaks and heard a loud thump.

  they tried to put the car into reverse and it will not move into reverse.

  If you mean the stick cant physically get to the R position then it "could" be the solenoid thing that is there to prevent reverse being selctable UNLESS the foot brake is pressed.... Dunno how stamping on the brake pedal would adversely affect that as i doubt there is a physical connection. It's likely a switch of some kind.

  But given a loud thump noise from the car then it could be a physical problem in the box itself of course. But being in the UK we mostly drive manuals (stick shift)....

  well i am new to this, and i must admit that at first i was very opposed to this site.

  i grew up being a witness and was warned about looking into apostate things, which is exactly what this site would be that they are referring to.

  i always tried to live my life the best that i could under the societys control, and never really got to have any life experiance at all.

  Whoever dreams up this kind of stuff has an agenda and it has nothing to do with warning others of any kind of "Truth", ..it's about ego, manipulation and their own elevated sense of self worth and importance to satisfy their own mental balance due to having lived miserable lives devoid of any real meaning and purpose.

  Best way to step down from being a servant

  hey i'm wondering if anyone can give some good advice on how to step down in the safest way.. i have served as an ms for a number of years, but can't do it anymore.

  i know too much i want to fade in the future when i get some family things straightened out.

  i can't move right now so that's out unfortunately.. what should i tell the body?

  Just dont do (or report) any ministry for 3 straight months and they will kick you straight off ALL "assignments" inc mic handling, prayer, reading etc on top of your MS position.... Quick and painless, no telling porkies involved. Just a thought....
